Available Positions

  • Communications / Marketing Manager

    POPOVICH is seeking a creative, outgoing, enthusiastic individual, who is a self-starter. Within our diverse practice portfolio, this position would work in concert with the Strategist of Design and Communication to plan, coordinate and execute against all marketing and communications efforts.

    Reporting to: Strategist, Design & Communication

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Support the team on new business pursuits and or proposals including helping write/edit content, and prepare presentations;
    • Participate and/or lead discussions as they pertain to proposal submissions and local activities (events, awards submissions etc.);
    • Collaborate with internal team and external partners to support all marketing and communications initiatives;
    • Participate, coordinate and/or project manage key firm-hosted events, and conference participation;
    • Prepare press releases;
    • Join relevant industry associations and participate as required.

    Key Qualifications and Skills:

    • University degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent;
    • 5+ years’ experience in a progressive communications or marketing role;
    • Experience developing and executing results-driven strategic marketing plans; 
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;
    • Demonstrated experience in design and layout of communications material;
    • Familiarity with proposal development.
  • Operations Manager

    POPOVICH is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic individual, who is self-starting, and creative. Within our diverse practice portfolio, this position would primarily be responsible for project management along with running the operational side of the business.

    Reporting to: Principal-in-Charge

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team (including but not limited to providing direction, coaching and support as required);
    • Manage all aspects of Project Management (including budget, time and schedule management);
    • Oversee quality control.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Proven people management experience;
    • 10-15 years of experience post-graduation from a recognized Landscape Architecture program;
    • Registered or eligible for registration in Ontario or British Columbia;
    • Ability to work with internal staff and partners; 
    • Demonstrated experience in urban design, ecological analysis and restoration strategy, and place-making;
    • Ability to work and thrive within a studio office environment with
    • interdisciplinary design teams including Owner/Client and Municipal jurisdictions
    • Demonstrated AutoCAD, Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, MS Office and Excel competence;
    • Advanced report, proposal writing and formatting skills;
    • Demonstrated project management experience;
    • Experience from proposal writing to conceptual design to construction document preparation and contract administration services;
    • Demonstrated leadership in one or more aspects of our profession;
    • Capable of planning and leading exemplary engagement processes;
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
    • Proven leader with the ability to motivate, inspire and mentor a team;
    • Willingness to assume progressively responsible roles in our firm.
